Events & Visits

Miriam has been a substitute teacher in K-8 classrooms for almost ten years, so she’s comfortable engaging with kids she’s meeting for the first time. She is also available to speak to adults—teachers, librarians or book groups.

In general, programs will last one hour including Q&A, plus time to sign books where applicable. She’s an engaging, fun presenter and is flexible on topics. She can adapt to requested topics but here are a few options:

* “Pulling the Curtain Back” - Miriam’s writing journey and the story behind THE ZUZU SECRET.

* “Creating Characters” - How to make them come alive and sound realistic.

* “Reading and Conversation” – An excerpt from the book followed by conversational Q&A

* “Creative Writing Workshop”
